This video is a little on the long side – about 10 minutes – but well worth watching. This guy’s work is FABULOUS! And particularly watch about 7 minutes into the video how he uses his threadwork – I’m in awe!
If you’re wondering what he uses to discharge, it’s thiox from Prochemical.

First of all, we need to examine how much time we spend procrastinating. Think of all the things in your life that you do, that is really just wasting time. Things like, wasting time in front of the television, playing video games, surfing aimlessly on the Internet etc. These things and more can be the cause of major procrastination in your life. You need to examine the effect that this could have on your life. If you don’t stop these bad habits the chances are you will live a frustrated life.
Step one: Start Setting Goals
Go buy an exercise book dedicated to writing down all your goals. Choose one day a week where you can sit down and think about the week ahead and the things that you would like to achieve in that week. Each day review what you have written that week and try to achieve at least one of those tasks in that day. You can also write down long-term goals such as what you would like to achieve in three months, or six months or one year, or five years or 10 years. Setting goals is a great way to stop the mindset of procrastination because if you focus on your goals you have something to work towards and once you’ve achieved each goal you will feel a sense of accomplishment.

If you do follow your bliss, you put yourself on a kind of track that has been there all the while waiting for you, and the life you ought to be living is the one you are living. When you can see that, you begin to meet people who are in the field of your bliss, and they open the doors to you. I say, follow your bliss and don’t be afraid… and doors will open where you didn’t know they were going to be. If you follow your bliss, doors will open for you that wouldn’t have opened for anyone else.

I was raised by grandparents who grew up during the great depression. We made do with what we had and we didn’t throw anything away! I still have trouble throwing things away. Watch me save those hard plastic tags on potato and onion bags; I know someday I will come up with a use for them!
With the current economic conditions we face, quilters are looking to use what is in their stash. A recent exhibit at the Illinois State Museum shop gave me an opportunity. The exhibit was called Repurposed, Renewed, Reborn. Each participant was to use items they already had and not purchase anything new. I went a step further and actually used re-cycled items in my entries.
