Computer Requirements

In order for you to get the most benefit from your online workshop, please review the following requirements:

Computer Skills

Whilst we will supply specific instructions about how to manage certain functions of the classroom, basic computer skills are required which means you should be comfortable with using your computer and your mouse. You should also understand how to upload and download files, conduct internet searches, and send and receive email.

Document Format

Downloadable documents are available in pdf format which uses Adobe Acrobat Reader. Adobe Acrobat Reader is a free Reader and the latest version can be found here:

Video

The videos are presented in Flash format and require a Flash Player. Flash is a free download which can be found here:

Internet Browser

For the best viewing experience, Mozilla Firefox internet browser is recommended. This is a free download which can be found here:

Note: It is possible to install more than one internet browser on your computer at any time, so installing Firefox will not interfere with your other browsers.

Popup Blockers

Popups are used during certain lessons, so if you have a popup blocker in place you may need to turn it off in order to access this feature.

Due to the many differences in personal computer standards however, if you experience problems using the features offered on this website, we are sorry, but we are unable to provide technical support for these issues as they are beyond the scope of our expertise.
