Originally from Australia, Linda arrived in the USA in 2001 and is now a permanent resident of Central Florida where she currently lives with her husband. Her love affair with creative sewing began at a very early age with her mother’s old treadle sewing machine and over the years this has developed into a passion for both making and teaching textile and art quilting.
A former National Educator with Janome America, Linda has travelled extensively throughout the US, teaching and motivating students to work creatively with their sewing machines. Her art quilts have travelled and been exhibited at various venues around the country, and her articles have been published in a variety of national magazines.
Now an independent textile artist, designer and teacher, Linda’s love of teaching has led her to develop Creative Textile & Quilting Arts, a website dedicated to the inspiration, education and motivation of textile and quilt artists. Linda believes in encouraging and developing personal creativity and problem solving skills which allows the student to develop unique and personal style in their textile art.
